Biloxi, Miss. – Palace Casino Resort in Biloxi, Miss., which began a large-scale expansion and renovation project in spring of 2010, will open the first of its recreated amenities – the all-new Palace Buffet – to the public on April 18.
The existing Palace Buffet will close on April 11 to prepare for the opening of the new buffet; the gaming floor and other existing amenities will remain open during this time. When it reopens on April 18, the Palace Buffet will be in a new location within the recently expanded portion of the facility.
The 300-seat non-smoking buffet will provide a spacious, modern atmosphere with live cooking stations and new interactive options. Fresh salads and desserts made by the Palace’s award-winning pastry chef will complement the extensive selection at the new stations.
“Flames” will offer freshly carved smoked and grilled meats, flame fired pizzas and a variety of sides. “Comfort” will serve Southern specialties and classic favorites like fried chicken, meatloaf and mashed potatoes. At “Coastal,” guests can choose from a variety of freshly boiled seafood; options like shrimp creole, stuffed crabs and crawfish etouffee; and sides including corn on the cob, hush puppies and fried okra. Guests can also personalize their pasta at Coastal by selecting the seafood or meat, type of pasta, sauce and cheese, which is sautéed to order.
The “Wok” will offer traditional Asian fare and introduce a new dining experience to the Mississippi Gulf Coast – a Mongolian barbeque-style grill. Growing in popularity throughout the country, this concept allows guests to create their own cuisine. Guests “Wok Your Way,” by “building a bowl” from a variety of fresh vegetables. They instruct the chef on which meat, seafood, sauces and spices to add. The chef then cooks the guests’ creations in front of them.

Following the opening of the new Palace Buffet, the all-new gaming floor is next to be revealed. The gaming area will be surrounded by new dining venues including the buffet, a café offering fresh baked goods and a grill, as well as a new lounge/sports bar.
The hotel lobby, atrium, spa, gift shop, meeting rooms, Mignon’s Lounge and high limit gaming area will be the last to be revealed, with the completion of the project in late summer.
