Palace Casino Resort has made a delivery of donations from the resort and its associates to the Pine Belt area tornado victims. In addition to cases of water, shampoo, body wash, bed sheets, mops and cleaning supplies donated by the casino, many associates of the Palace also donated personal care items, tarps, cleaning supplies and clothing.
“The majority of our associates experienced the devastation of Hurricane Katrina first-hand. When dropping off donated items, most Palace associates commented that they had appreciated the support of donations received during that time and that they wanted to offer help now for those affected by recent tornadoes in the Hattiesburg and Petal areas,” stated Lisa Quirch, Advertising and PR Manager at Palace Casino Resort.
A box truck full of supplies was taken to Field House’s Distribution Center on Scooba Street in Hattiesburg this afternoon. Field House typically serves the Pine Belt area as a homeless shelter, but due to the recent tornadoes, their outreach has expanded to include tornado victims as well.
